Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Location: Forney, TX (On Site | In Office)
Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 Base + Bonus (Strong Upside)

TrendHR is partnering with a growing regional construction firm based in Forney, TX to hire a Project Manager focused on small box retail and retail remodel projects across the U.S.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys running projects end-to-end but doesn’t want to live on the road. You’ll manage multiple projects at a time, primarily from the office, with minimal travel (typically less than 3 weeks per year).
The company is active in 40+ states and continues to grow, with a strong pipeline of repeat retail clients.
What You’ll Do
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage projects from kickoff through closeout
- Develop schedules, budgets, and project plans
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and on schedule
Subcontractor & Vendor Management
- Issue and manage subcontracts and purchase orders
- Track progress, resolve issues, and maintain strong relationships
- Review invoices, change orders, and project costs
Scheduling, Cost & Logistics
- Monitor timelines and adjust schedules as needed
- Track budgets, forecasts, and job costs
- Coordinate material procurement and deliveries
- Keep projects moving efficiently across multiple sites
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams
- Provide regular project updates and status reports
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and documentation
Quality & Closeout
- Ensure work meets company and client standards
- Coordinate inspections and final punch lists
- Manage project closeout and final documentation
What You Bring
- 2 to 5+ years of construction project management experience
- Experience managing commercial construction projects (retail a plus)
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with project management or construction software is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field preferred
